Lyn previously served as a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Board and held faculty appointments at Iowa State University and the University of Massachusetts Lowell. His research spans international trade, economic geography, and environmental economics—evaluating how trade policy, climate shocks, and market integration affect labor markets and global supply chains. His work has been published in leading academic journals such as the Quarterly Journal of Economics, American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, and Journal of International Economics. 

Lyn received his Ph.D. in economics from Pennsylvania State University and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of the West Indies-Mona.
