This form records student interest regarding participation in the Economics Department's Latin Honors program in the next academic year.

Invitation or Petition
Please indicate whether you were invited to the honors program or whether you are initiating a petition. You were "invited" if you received an email to that effect. You are "initiating a petition" if you are responding to a general email sent to all Junior Economics majors.

Thesis / Coursework / "No Thanks"
Please indicate whether you would like to participate in the thesis ("Latin Honors with Thesis") track or in the extra coursework ("Latin Honors by Coursework") track. 1. If you were invited to the Honors program and you do not wish to participate, then please select "Decline." 2. If you have an interest in the thesis track, even if you're not 100% sure, please select that track so that the Department can contact you with further information about the thesis-writing process. 3. Admission into the “with Thesis” track is particularly selective because the number of positions is limited. Both the grades and the rigor of your courses are considered, and it's possible that not everyone wishing to write an honors thesis will ultimately be invited to do so.
